Where to begin? Bahnhof Bever is the location where the eastern end Albula line of the RhB Joins the Engagin line. To the west one travels through the Albula Tunnel, over dramatic viaducts and through spiral tunnels on the way to the famous and often modeled junction at Filisur, where the line branches north to Davos and Southwest to Thusis. The Engadin line follows the Engadin valley north-and south. Immediately to the south is Samedan, a freight division point and junction. From there the Engadin line continues to St. Moritz. A branch leads to Pontresina where the RhB main network joins the Bernina line.  This coming together and going appart of lines is a trainspotters delight. Both the famed Glacier Express (the slowest express train in the world) and the Bernina express pass this point in addition to the hourly trains moving people back and forth, occassional shuttle trains for winter sports, and daily freight trains. Where does a model railway begining begin? In this case, it's starting with a timetable and diagrams of station trackage as a way to understand train movements.  Althouth the timetables for the time period I am interested in are not easy to come by, the documentation of the RhB is extensive. This has made it easier to envision operations, and to begin to focus on an area of interest.
